Construction Begins on 1627 Penn Avenue

Construction began in August on the Penn Rose Building at 1627 Penn Avenue in the Strip District. The eleven story building formerly commercial/ Industrial space is being converted into loft style luxury apartments.

In August of 2016 construction began on the Penn Rose Building located at 1627 Penn Avenue in the heart of Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District. The eleven-story building formerly commercial/industrial space is being converted into loft style luxury apartments. The full renovation will preserve much of the buildings historic features and will also be LEED certified.

RW Sleighter was commissioned by Red Rocks Group LP to perform Architectural Design for the renovations of the Penn Rose building. The 72 apartments with soaring high ceilings, polished concrete floors and spectacular city views, embraces an industrial architectural style.

Project amenities include a coffee bar and conference room in the lobby, and a rooftop lounge and deck, on-site parking and bicycle racks, changing rooms, and showers in the basement.

Construction on the new apartments is expected to be completed in December of 2017.
