RW Sleighter provided architecture and site engineering services for Stepping Stones, a West Virginia non-profit center for people with disabilities. The project included the complete reconstruction of an existing swimming pool to be contained in a new 1,600 square foot building addition designed for four season use. The project also included construction of a new outdoor pool and play area with design features for fully handicapped and special needs users. The new facility was constructed within the constraints of a small site with a tight construction schedule. Both pools are designed to be a fully accessible. The outdoor pool includes a beach entry and splash zone and the indoor pool gives sweeping views of the campus.
